The Auer Academy of Fort Wayne Ballet is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
All levels will be taught by our ABT® Certified Teachers, who have successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

It's never too late to experience the exquisite joy of dance. Open classes allow teens and adults to achieve the grace and discipline they covet within a positive and encouraging environment — and at times, allow an escape from the demands of our busy lives.

Fort Wayne Ballet’s Trainee Program takes the Conservatory Program to the next level and grooms students to become professional dancers. Trainees have achieved an advanced level of classical ballet but seek additional training before auditioning for a professional company.
Trainee Schedule
Trainees follow the Pre-Professional 2 class schedule which includes ballet class 6 days a week, pointe 5 days a week, men's class once a week, partnering, jazz, modern, musical theatre, character, and a weekly seminar. They also take class with the company Tuesday through Friday 9am to 10:30 am. Trainees will also rehearse with the company when called for.
Fort Wayne Ballet Conservatory at the University of Saint Francis
The Fort Wayne Ballet Conservatory at the University of Saint Francis is an exciting partnership between the Fort Wayne Ballet and the University which offers both a 4-year & 2-year undergraduate academic program in dance. These programs will prepare students for a professional career in dance.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts & Associate of Arts in Dance feature a sound liberal arts core curriculum with a full range of dance styles that complement the essential basics of classical ballet. For more information on the different programs and how to apply.
