Raised in Dayton, Ohio, Avalou trained at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios dancing with the attached pre-professional company, Gem City Ballet. In December 2019, Ava graduated with her BFA summa cum laude majoring in Ballet from the University of Cincinnati’s College – Conservatory of Music, under Qi Jiang and Deirdre Carberry. During her final two years at CCM, Ava was accepted into BalletMet’s trainee program, where she worked under the direction of Edwaard Liang and Maria Torija. She has enjoyed performing in Liang’s Don Quixote, Balanchine’s Serenade, and Tracy Tritz’s Dracula. She is excited for her second season with Fort Wayne Ballet.
